Nothing says summer like a hot, sunny day, fresh air, and baseball. It’s the swoosh of a pitch, the crack or clunk of the bat as a hitter sends the ball flying into the air, and of course, the crowd’s enthusiasm. That’s why on Sunday, July 31, Berkshire employees took part in a family day at ballparks in Massachusetts and North Carolina. It was an excellent time with games happening in both locations, with Berkshire swag, hamburgers, hotdogs, and traditional baseball snacks. As Branch Ricky famously said, “Baseball is a game of inches.” And at Berkshire, we deal with increments much smaller than that because we know the smallest measure can make the biggest difference.
