World Environment Day: Advancing Sustainability at Berkshire

World environment day

At Berkshire, World Environment Day is an opportunity to reinforce our commitment to environmental responsibility and measurable progress toward a more sustainable future.

Over the past year, we have continued to build momentum in reducing our environmental impact and strengthening our sustainability capabilities. Through our participation in the Supplier Leadership on Climate Transition (LOCT) program, our team has completed foundational training on Scope 1 & 2 Footprinting, and Scope 3 Footprinting.   Our team has also completed LOCT Target Setting training to prepare for establishing Science Based Targets (SBTi), further aligning our emissions reduction goals with globally recognized standards. This initiative reflects our dedication to addressing emissions across our entire value chain and supporting broader industry progress.

We are also proud to have earned an EcoVadis “Committed” badge, recognizing our ongoing efforts to improve environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance.

Finally, Berkshire’s  VersaHOCl EPA registered disinfectant productline has achieved GreenSeal® certification, meeting rigorous science-based standards for environmental leadership and human health protection.  reinforcing our focus on developing environmentally responsible solutions for our customers.

These accomplishments are supported by continued investment in education and engagement, with cross-functional team members dedicating time each year to sustainability training and capability building.

As we look ahead, Berkshire remains committed to advancing transparency, reducing our environmental footprint, and delivering products and practices that support a healthier planet.
